Fast-Casual Concept Slapfish Lands New Owner as Founder Eyes New Restaurants
Chef Andrew Gruel confirmed last week that he and his wife Lauren have sold their interest in their fast-casual concept Slapfish.
Gruel, who founded the concept that turned into a 22-unit franchise, sold his interest to investor Mac Haik Enterprises, per Nation’s Restaurant News.
Gruel said in a tweet that the plan all along for him was to exit the business at the 10-year mark and start anew.
