European Commission Approves SalMar’s Acquisition of NTS, Merger with Norway Royal Salmon
The European Commission has approved SalMar’s offer to acquire all outstanding shares in NTS and thus, the merger between SalMar and Norway Royal Salmon (NRS), per an October 31 announcement.
In July, the Norwegian Competition Authority approved SalMar’s bid to acquire NTS, as SeafoodNews reported. A month prior, SalMar and NRS announced a proposed merger, explaining that synergies between the two companies could be earlier and better realized than solely through the NTS acquisition.
