Gulf of Maine Lobster Fishery No Longer Pursuing MSC Recertification

Last week the Maine Certified Sustainable Lobster Association (MCSLA) formally withdrew the fishery from the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) program. The news was confirmed by the Animal Welfare Institute (AWI), Defenders of Wildlife, and the Natural Resources Defense Council.
