Over 1.2 tonnes of suspected dried shark fins worth an estimated $40 million have been seized by Hong Kong customs agents.
Officials at the Hong Kong International Airport discovered the smuggled product in an air consignment that arrived from Mexico. Authorities from the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department are now following up on the investigation.
