The cost of crab catch in Russia will significantly increase in years to come due to expected rise of auction prices for king crab quotas during the forthcoming auctions in the Russian Barents Sea.
According to recent calculations, made by experts of Vedomosti based on data from the draft of the Ministry of Agriculture, the starting auction price may increase by 27% to 5.6 billion rubles compared to 2019, while for snow crab-opilio - by 94% to 4.27 billion rubles.
