Thunder’s Catch Turns COVID Passion Project Into Award Winning Product at SENA
Every year Seafood Expo North America highlights new offerings from exhibitors. This year Diversified Communications, the show organizers, had 71 entries of new products. They narrowed the entries down to 11 finalists, who were up for two major awards: The Seafood Excellence Award for Best New Retail Product and Best New Foodservice Product. Well, after judges spent Sunday morning taste testing the finalists, the Seafood Excellence Awards winners were finally announced at 3:30 p.m.
The winner of Best New Retail Product was Thunder’s Catch for their Wild Salmon Chowder, a 9 oz. sustainable pouch that has a two-year shelf life. A “no” was shouted as Diversified Group Vice President Liz Plizga announced the winner...
