Snow Crab Landings And Closure Updates For NL
Snow crab harvesters in Newfoundland and Labrador have landed just under 50% of their quota on what should have been the eve of the season closure for many fishing areas.
According to preliminary data released by Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO), all NAFO divisions in NL have landed 26,537 MT of their 54,305 MT quota. This accounts for 49% taken and means that 27,767 MT remains for the season.
