Newfoundland and Labrador Snow Crab Season Extended Again To Late July
Snow crab harvesters in Newfoundland and Labrador received yet another extension as 14,325 MT remains in the water.
The Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) sent out a notice on Tuesday announcing that the snow crab fishery has been extended for NAFO Division 3K. This includes areas 3B, 3BC, 3C, 3D and Area 4. Those areas will now close at 2000 hours on July 28.
