The coho salmon season has been underway for a few weeks now. While landings were strong early on, last week saw a significant decline. This drop in supply led to increases in coho prices. Current year-to-date landings are at about 658,000 fish, up 47% from last year, yet down about 15% from the five-year-average. Pricing is at an average price of $4.50 /lb. for H&G 4-6, which is 16% and 6% lower than last year’s and the five-year-average respectively...
