Norway Wins Snow Crab Case Against SIA North Star
In April 2020 SIA North Star, a Latvian shipping company, and its owner, Peteris Pildegovics, filed a case against the Kingdom of Norway saying that the country breached its obligations under a 1992 agreement by refusing to let the shipping company’s vessels catch snow crab on the Norwegian continental shelf. Now, nearly four years later, a judgment has been made in favor of Norway.
