ANALYSIS: January Shrimp Imports Decline Rapidly with AD/CVD in Background
In data released Thursday, and with the backdrop of caution given the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) maintaining the antidumping (AD) and countervailing duties (CVD) on imported shrimp with initial decisions soon, January shrimp imports fell 13.5 percent from last year. January 2024 figures came in at 131.041 million pounds, compared to 151.535 million pounds last year.
