A Portland man has handed in his $285,000 boat, fishing gear and been ordered to pay thousands in fines after admitting his role in "very, very serious" offending.
The man and his brother, both aged in their 50s, were recently sentenced in the Geelong Magistrates Court after pleading guilty to dealing with fish taken in contravention of the Fisheries Act and breaches of fisheries licence conditions.
