FDA Warns Carolina Seafood Over HACCP Failures for Ready-to-Eat Crab, Shrimp Dips

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a warning letter to Carolina Seafood Inc., owner Rutledge Leland III, following an April 29–May 2, 2025, inspection that found significant violations of the seafood Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) regulation (21 C.F.R. Part 123). The letter was issued on August 21, 2025, and posted on the FDA's website on Tuesday.
