Canada to Invest $957.8 Million Over 5 Years in Small Craft Harbors Program

As part of Canada’s Spring Economic Update 2026, the Carney administration proposed $957.8 million over five years, to be dedicated to small harbors across the nation. The funds will be used for ongoing repairs and enhancements. The money is in addition to Fisheries and Oceans Canada’s (DFO) existing annual program budget of approximately $90 million.
