Hoopa Valley Tribe and CDFW Join Forces for Salmon Restoration Partnership on Trinity River
In an historic collaboration, the Hoopa Valley Tribe and the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) have replaced two weirs with one on the Trinity River, a place where Hoopa have caught salmon for centuries. Both authorities — the tribe and the state — used their weirs for separate purposes.
