Canadian Aquaculture Alliance Rebrands as Canadian Seafood Farmers
The Canadian Aquaculture Industry Alliance has rebranded as Canadian Seafood Farmers / Producteurs Aquacoles Canadiens, reflecting the sector’s push to have aquaculture recognized and supported on par with other Canadian agriculture. Members unanimously approved the new name at the association’s annual general meeting on Sept. 29. The change comes as the federal government emphasizes economic resilience and domestic food production amid a challenging trade environment.
