Southern Connection Seafood gearing up for 29th season as as Chesapeake crab season opens today

Southern Connection Seafood is getting ready for a new season in Maryland and Virginia for local US domestic soft shell crabs. With 29 years under their belt tthey sell domestic crabs only.
The season runs from April 7th to October 15th. Southern has one of the largest and most modern plants in Crisfield, and a delivery fleet of 25 trucks. They distribute the live, dressed and frozen soft shells all over the country with care that can’t be duplicated on commercial freight trucks.
The business started in 1985 with 6 dozen soft shells in a Chevy Chevette and had $22 million in sales last year.
