Surge in Indian Shrimp Shipments Drives US Imports to All-Time Record 1.33 Billion Lbs in 2016

Although December 2016 shrimp imports were down 3.4%, annual imports for 2016 were 3% higher than last year establishing a new record import volume of 1.33 billion lbs. of shrimp.
The figure was up 3 percent from 2015, which represents a 4 million pound rise in the volume.
This makes 2016 an all-time record for total shrimp imported to the US in a single year...
