FDA Posts Import Alert For Vietnamese Seafood Company Due to Hepatitis A Contamination

On Wednesday the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) posted an import alert for “detention without physical examination of seafood due to hepatitis A contamination.
According to the FDA alert, they conducted a sample of frozen raw tuna products in May 2017 and found that the products contained the hepatitis A virus. A follow up screening by the FDA alerted them to a second firm’s frozen raw tuna products containing the hepatitis A ...
