Listeria Outbreak in Denmark Linked to Salmon Processing Facility in Poland

Salmon sold by Dansk Supermarket Group in Denmark was linked to six illnesses earlier this year. Now, another Listeria monocytogenes discovery at a French retailer suggests that the contamination occurred at BK Salmon, a processing facility in Poland.
According to Food Quality News, a kosher chilled cured salmon at a French retailer tested positive for Listeria monocytogenes. “The isolate belonged to the same type as in the Danish outbreak,” the outlet reports.
