Maine Coast Shellfish Employee Pleads Guilty in Scam that Sent 50,000 lbs of Maine Lobster to China

Jonathan Cowles, formerly of Rowley, Mass, but who now lives in Hawaii, has pled guilty to a scheme of defrauding his former employer, Maine Coast Shellfish.
Cowles admitted to taking over $25,000 in commissions to which he was not entitled. As part of the scheme to generate commissions, he caused Maine Coast Shellfish in York, Maine to ship 50,000 pounds of lobster to China, with a value of $360,000, to an unknown customer, for which they never got paid. Cowles concealed the true identity of the buyer.
According to the plea filed in Maine district court, he pled guilty to wire fraud...
