Handy is one of the oldest seafood processing companies in the United States, and this year represents its 125th anniversary.
Terry Conway, now Handy’s Executive Chairman, recalls how they started making crab cakes.
30 years ago, Handy Seafood began collecting crab cakes from restaurants and retailers he said. These crab cakes were machine formed, loaded with shell and crab content turned out to be 3%.
