Pacific Salmon Catch in Russia May Be the Lowest in Last 20 Years
The 2024 Pacific salmon catch in Russia may be the lowest in the last twenty years. According to earlier forecasts by Ilya Shestakov, head of the Russian Federal Agency for Fisheries, it will not exceed 250,000-260,000 metric tons. That will be two times less than last year when the catch exceeded 600,000 metric tons. The salmon fishing season in the Russian Far East will be completed in the coming days.
