ANALYSIS: Cod Imports Increase Outside of China
While year-to-date total cod imports into the U.S increased only 1.8 percent compared to the same timeframe last year, volumes from individual countries saw more significant gains. Imports from Russia increased 62% or by 870,795 pounds, Vietnam imported 39% or 412,972 pounds more, and Indonesia saw a 1440% increase, or 539,150 pounds, as there were no reported imports from the country during this time last year.
