Commissioner Sid Miller Declares Support for Federal Intervention in the Gulf Shrimp Industry

In a statement on February 25, Commissioner Sid Miller of the Texas Department of Agriculture declared support for Texas Representative A.J. Louderback’s new proposal for federal intervention in the Gulf shrimp industry. The proposal, titled HCR 76, was filed on February 13 and urges the federal government to curb mass importation of foreign shrimp.
