Wildtype to Debut Cultivated Sushi-Grade Salmon by End of Year
Cultivated seafood producer Wildtype is set to launch its sushi-grade cell-cultivated salmon by the end of the calendar year, according to FoodIngredientsFirst.
“We will be commercially ready to launch by the end of this year, and our first products will appear in US sushi restaurants as soon as we complete important regulatory discussions with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) that have been underway since 2019,” Wildtype co-founder Aryé Elfenbein told the publication.
