Purecod Receives Permit For Closed-Pen Farming in Norway
Purecod AS, which is owned by Blue Future AS, has been granted the world’s first closed-pen cod farming permit. The company announced last week that the County Municipality of Møre and Romsdal granted them a production permit to farm Atlantic cod in closed pens with a maximum standing biomass allowance of 3,120 tons in Røneset, in Storfjorden.
