Alaska’s 2022 salmon fishery officially begins in just a few days and lots of other fishing action continues or gears up from Southeast to the Bering Sea.
The first 12-hour opener on Monday, May 16, at the Copper River near Cordova kicks off Alaska’s salmon season. The total harvest forecast for the famous fishery calls for 716,000 reds and 7,000 kings.
