U.S. Coast Guard Establishes New Unit in Warrenton, Oregon
It's official: The U.S. Coast Guard is in setting up shop on the North Oregon Coast.
Coast Guard Sector Columbia River has been part of the Pacific Northwest for years, as most fishermen and mariners already know. But on Wednesday, the USCG held an establishment ceremony in Warrenton to formally establish Coast Guard Base Astoria, the USCG said in a press release.
