FDA Alert: Norovirus Outbreak on Nova Scotia Oysters Distributed to 17 U.S. States
Last Saturday, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued warnings to restaurants, retailers, and consumers to stop serving, selling, and eating oysters harvested on June 9 in Nova Scotia from area NS10 due to a norovirus outbreak.
The contaminated raw oysters are Fortune brand and were initially distributed by Bill and Stanley Oyster Co. of Nova Scotia, Canada through U.S. distributors to 17 states and the District of Columbia: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Washington DC, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, ...
