Invasive Green Crab Found at New Site in Strait of Juan de Fuca in Washington
European green crabs seem to be spreading in Washington, despite efforts to eradicate it. The state's quick response in October could help keep the crabs at bay, at least for now.
The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife received a report from the Coastal Watershed Institute of a European green crab at Salt Creek Recreation Area. The site is a popular Clallam County park on the Strait of Juan de Fuca.
