In a First, Three Western Alaska Tribal Members — All Women — Named to NPFMC’s Advisory Panel
Three Native Alaska women — Eva Dawn Burk, Tiffany Andrew, and Mellisa Maktuayaq Johnson — were appointed to the North Pacific Fisheries Management Council’s Advisory Panel, giving it more Alaska Native representation than ever before. The announcement was made earlier this month as one of the last actions of the December Council meeting.
