Supreme Court Declines to Hear State of Alaska’s Plea to Overturn EPA’s Veto of Pebble Mine
The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday rebuffed a plea by Alaska Governor Dunleavy to revisit a rarely-used veto by the Environmental Protection Agency against the Pebble Mine, a massive copper and molybdenum mine at the headwaters of Bristol Bay, home to the world’s largest salmon run.
