Hokkaido Surimi Production Increased by 18% to 1693 Tons in May

According to member reports compiled by the National Surimi Manufacturers Association, based in Abashiri, Hokkaido, frozen surimi production in Hokkaido in May increased 18% from the same month last year to 1,693 tons, the highest in the past three years, due to an increase in Alaska pollock landings, reported Minato Shimbun.
