Cod Longliners and Amendment 80 Fleet Lose Out as Alaska BOF Expands State's Take of Pacific Cod

In a 6-1 vote, and after two days of public testimony, the Alaska Board of Fish agreed to increase the percentage of Pacific Cod allocated to the state waters fishery in the Dutch Harbor Subarea. The move benefits coastal communities in the area, but the additional allocation will come from the federal waters fishery.
