A new Russian crab scandal is developing after federal authorities raided offices belonging to Oleg Kahn, also known as the 'crab king' in Sakhalin. Our correspondent Eugene Gerden reports that the Russian crab industry is on the verge of new high-profile scandal.
The initial raid was over tax evasion, and followed the discovery that Kahn's companies sold crab to a Panama registered entity for far below its value, thereby avoiding Russian taxes.
