East Coast Closes Garbo Lobster Facility in Connecticut, Possible Consequence of China Tariffs
The East Coast Seafood Group announced on Friday that the Garbo Lobster facility in Groton, Connecticut will close on January 17th.
Garbo has been a presence in Connecticut for 36 years, and also has facilities in Maine and Canada.
"The company is working with the employees affected by the closure of the facility to ensure a smooth transition for all," East Coast Seafood Group, which is based in Topsfield, Mass., said in an emailed statement to The Day newspaper in New London.
