Canada Approves New Fisheries Act, Bans Imports and Exports of Shark Fins
Canada's new Fisheries Act has been approved. The Senate voted Tuesday night in favor of Bill C-68, which featured key updates to the Fisheries Act, including banning the import and export of shark fins. With the approval of the amended bill, Canada has become the first G20 country to ban the trade of shark fins.
