Charoen Pokphand Foods Releases More Information About Homegrown Shrimp Subsidiary, US Farm Plans
Charoen Pokphand Foods (CPF) has big plans for their new U.S. subsidiary, Homegrown Shrimp.
In March 2019 CPF purchased a failed shrimp farming property near Indiantown, Florida, for their newly established company, Homegrown Shrimp. The plan was to develop and operate a small pilot farm, “with the objective of validating a model for farming shrimp inland using artificial sea salts.” Now, the company is expanding on those plans, calling it an “Aquaculture 5.0” shrimp farm.
