Eastern Atlantic Bluefin Tuna Fishery in Japan Becomes First to Earn MSC Certification
A Japanese longline fishery is about to become the first bluefin tuna fishery to achieve Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) certification for sustainable fishing.
The fishery just completed a state in its two-year assessment process which legal expert, Eldon Greenberg, decided a concern raised by WWF about bluefin tuna maturity had been dealt with in an action plan, the MSC explained.
