Startup Develops Plastic-free, Fully Compostable Packaging Made from Sugarcane
W-Cycle, an Israel-based startup developed a plastic-free packaging created with sugarcane waste that is fully compostable and durable enough to hand hot and greasy food called SupraPulp.
The product is also microwave safe and can be reheated in an oven, convection oven or steam cooker.
SupraPulp is patented, field-tested, and an ideal replacement for plastic, aluminium, or foam containers, the company said in a press release.
