Entangled Right Whale Spotted of New Jersey Coast, Whale in Extremely Poor Condition
NOAA Fisheries announced that a North Atlantic right whale was spotted entangled off the New Jersey coast at around 2 p.m. on October 11.
The Marine Mammal Stranding Center notified NOAA that naturalists aboard the New York-based whale watch American Princess spotted the whale about 2.7 nautical miles east of Sea Bright, New Jersey.
