Entangled Right Whale Spotted of New Jersey Coast, Whale in Extremely Poor Condition

NOAA Fisheries announced that a North Atlantic right whale was spotted entangled off the New Jersey coast at around 2 p.m. on October 11.
The Marine Mammal Stranding Center notified NOAA that naturalists aboard the New York-based whale watch American Princess spotted the whale about 2.7 nautical miles east of Sea Bright, New Jersey.
According to NOAA, naturalists from Gotham Whale observed the entangling lines from photos following the whale watch expedition. Currently, the photos have been shared with the New England Aquarium...
