Oil, Gas Rig Decommissioning Plans off California Are Open for Public Comment
Some oil and gas rigs off California may be coming down – and the federal government wants input from stakeholders on those decisions.
The Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement, with the assistance of the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, is inviting the public to comment on a proposal to conduct a Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement for decommissioning oil and gas platforms and other facilities on the Pacific Outer Continental Shelf.
