Historic Day for Coast Guard as First Woman Nominated to Serve as Commandant
President Joe Biden has nominated Adm. Linda L. Fagan to serve as the 27th Commandant of the U.S. Coast Guard. Upon confirmation, Fagan will make history as the first woman to serve in the position.
Currently, Fagan is the 32nd Vice Commandant, having assumed the duties on June 18, 2021.
