Shrimp Prices Contract in China
China’s shrimp prices have recently declined to noticeable extents. In Leizhou city of Guangdong province, for example, farm-gate prices of live ones weighing about 30 shrimps/jin (1 jin=0.5 kilo) have dropped by around 5 to 8 yuan/jin to 20.5 yuan/jin now compared with the same period last year, according to a news report from China Central Television.
