It seems Dungeness crab season openings are always a roller coaster ride these days. You never know when or if the stars -- that trio of meat quality, no biotoxins and no whales -- will align along the whole coast for season openings that adhere to traditional dates (November 15 for Central California; December 1 for northern California, Oregon and Washington).
