In 2023, Japan's frozen crab imports increased, mainly from Russia, due to falling prices. According to the Ministry of Finance's trade statistics, the volume of frozen snow crab imported inceased 12% from the previous year to 18,857 tons, of which Russian imports increased by 18% to 13,079 tons.
