JAPAN: Hokkaido Pollock Surimi Production Continues To Decline In February
According to the National Surimi Manufacturers Association, the production of land-based surimi from Hokkaido in February was about half the same month as the previous year, indicating an overall decrease in production amid many days of rough waters.
In February, the production of pollock surimi decreased by 54.6% to 167 tons compared to the same month last year. Production of Atka mackerel surimi decreased by 45.2% to 34 tons.
