ANALYSIS: Shrimp Imports Surprise With Gains in February
In data released Thursday, and maybe somewhat of a surprise given the recent cautiousness surrounding shrimp imports with CVD/AD hanging over the industry (preliminary countervailing duties since released), U.S. shrimp imports in February were 12.5 percent higher. Imports for the month totaled 131.198 million pounds, nearly on par with last month, but above 116.596 million pounds in 2023.
