UK Consumers File Class Action Lawsuit Against 6 Salmon Producers
Norwegian salmon producers are facing yet another lawsuit related to price-fixing allegations. In the latest lawsuit, filed by Waterside Class Action, six salmon producers —Mowi and its subsidiary Mowi Holdings, SalMar, Lerøy, Scottish Sea Farms and Grieg — are being accused of participating in “coordinated transactions” and “unlawfully exchanging information” in an effort to drive up the prices of farmed Atlantic salmon.
